483-Een 78-jarige man uit Nepal is sinds zondag officieel de kleinste mens op aarde. Chandra Bahadur Dangi is 54,6 centimeter klein en heeft daarmee een notering in het Guinness Book of World Records verdiend. Hij is de kleinste man ter wereld en die kleinste persoon die ooit in het recordboek heeft gestaan. De kleine man woont in een klein bergdorpje en had nog nooit gehoord van het record boek. Hij verbreekt met zijn lengte het record van een Filippijn, die was 60 centimeter lang.

424-KATHMANDU - Een vliegtuig met 21 mensen aan boord is verongelukt in bergachtig gebied in het noorden van Nepal. Zeker vijftien mensen zijn daarbij om het leven gekomen, zei een politiewoordvoerder maandag. Het ging om een Dornier 228 van Agni Air. Aan boord waren achttien passagiers en drie bemanningsleden.
